I am planning to buy Sony KDL-43W755C. Is has got Android 5.0 as per specification.

Is this upgradable to latest Android tv version? How long does Sony provide the Android update?

Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) is now available for that model TV. Android 7.0 (Nougat) is planned for later this year.

Hi there

A quick way to tell which year the TV is is by the letter C at the end. The W755C series TV is a 2015 model.

And if you manage to get one with lollipop, stay on lollipop unles DVB-T and using guide is your top priority.

There are some issues with Marshmallow to do with how the TV handles USB drives. But to be frank, I found that Android 6.0 update more beneficial than some of the new bugs introduced. For me the TV is more 'zippier' if that is a word.

The problem is, we all use our TVs differently, hence some people have more or less problems than others. For me, I rarely have any issues.
