With the ongoing disappointment that is the Android TV experience with Sony. I do wonder why the Sony TV team aren't sat with the their phone team.

Its a real shame that soemthing like LineageOS isn't available for Android TV ( Nvidia Shield only ).

I'm now wondering about trying this: https://www.maketecheasier.com/install-lineage-os-on-raspberry-pi/

Thankfully Amazon will be coming to the Apple TV very soon so that's the last problem covered.

I've stopped using the Sony TV's wifi connection as the hardware is really not up to the job IMHO.

I concour with your review.

As an ATV1 owner, thankfully purchased during a sale, the 'smart tv' side could be fine, if they just paid attention to the hardware, but they didn't so here we are using the TV as a dumb display.
