Sony kdl50w805c - Casting not working

Since the latest update casting from notable apps Chrome and Plex won't work. It would appear my devices can't find the television but the Youtube app, Netflix, Daily Motion (in Chrome) all work.

Any idea what the issue is?

have you reset the Google (/Chrome) Cast app on your TV?

Yes, I've been in to that function and it is enabled.

Casting from Netflix or Youtube is not an issue. But Chrome and Plex seems to be an issue.

Those apps (Chrome and PLEX), were never downloaded to the TV. Do they not have to be for this to be streamed from my phone?
