All but one app disappeared from launcher and settings (android tv kd 43 x83)

Hello

12 Gb of app (around 50 games, official from google store, no root) installed on USB hard drive, disappeared from launcher and settings.

obb and data files still on the USB drive.

1 app from the USB HDD is still available and working !

apps installed on internal storage works fine.

I've factory reset, reinstalled all apps, it worked fine for 24 hours only ; then back to this situation.

the USB HDD is a 1 Tb Seagate.

It's an old issue reported many times that has never been fixed. In simple words the USB storage to extend the memory is unreliable. In my case it even goes to Read-only, disabling the app updates and installation of new apps.

i guess this will never be fixed, i don't see any new update coming for months now

No alternative solutions like rooting the tv ?
