KD-49XE7002 no power

Hi All,

I’ve had my 49” KD-49XE7002 since November 2017 which has been great.

This evening whilst watching Sky Q the TV turned itself off and there is no power to the TV at all not even the standby light.

I’ve unplugged, checked the connections, checked the remote, tried another device from the mains which works. I’ve left the TV unplugged for 30 minutes and tried again but still no power at all.

Does anyone have any other tips please? I’ve already called Sony and logged the repair.

Unfortunately I don't think there is any quick fix for this,

you've taken the best course of action by phoning Support.

So my TV is completely dead and needs a replacement board which will take a week to complete the repair. Really disappointing considering I’ve had the TV less than 4 months. This is the first Sony TV I’ve had after years of being with Samsung. Would not purchase a Sony TV again unfortunately.
