New KD55XF8096 owner. Advice sought please.

I've joined the 4K bandwagon, moving from a 32" Full HD to a 55" 4K. Damn, I've just realised that's almost 2ft of extra screen real estate now staring me in the face.

Anyway, I digress. I'm planning on sitting down over the xmas break from work to *hopefully* properly calibrate the screen, etc... but I wanted to ask about what HDMI socket is best to use for what external devices.

At present, I've got:

A BD player (soon to be a Smart 4K player early in the new year) on HDMI 2

a W10 laptop on HDMI 3/ARC.

Virgin TV is being installed within a matter of days (unsure what HDMI to use).

I've also got a soundbar via the Optical socket.

So, any advice or suggestions you've got, I'm all ears.

We purchased a 43" Android 4K this year. One thing worth noting that you can set picture adjustment on all different HDMI inputs used.

Another thing is don't expect much help from Sony Support regarding questions, this Community is a better place for help.
