Sony KD-498305C ARC problem with Pioneer VSX S300-K

Hi, sorry don't know what happened with the body of the 1st post but it won't let me edit so here is my problem

I have the above equipment and they were working with ARC on my HDMi 4 (ARC) socket, but having had problems with the TV, I decided to Reset the unit. Now , I have tried all suggestions here on the forum and from here https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00191214 to try and get it all back working . The Pioneer is set to ARC and HDMI Control , but I cannot find any setting as described here https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00016881 to enable ARC on the TV. I try putting Bravia Control on, but it seems to not find a compatble unit. As I say this was working before resetting my TV, but just to make sure I have purchased 2 other brands of HIGH Speed HDMI cables ( one which specifically says it supports ARC) https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00DYQCVO0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 but still having no luck.

Please can someone help me. I have tried disconnecting all other HDMI units on the TV and the AMP, but just can't get it working again. I wish I had never reset the TV!

You need to configure the [Digital audio out. Press the HOME button, then select [Settings] — [Sound] — [Digital audio out].

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I have already tried all 3 settings (Auto1, Auto2 and PCM) whilst set to Audio System ( rather than Speakers. It works fine if I set the ARC on the amp off and then set Optical out on the TV an use an optical cable. The thing is, I know it should work on ARC as it was fine before I reset the TV
