NO Amazon app on my Sony - KD-55XF9005 Tv

I have just brought a new Sony KD-55XF9005 and there is no Amazon app in the store, can someone tell me if there is a issue with these Tv's and the Amazon app ?

Hi @Adwozere1 Which Amazon app are you referring to? You should note that not all Android apps are available on Android TV (not just Sony). For example there is no Amazon Shopping app but as a general rule if it is not in the Google Play Store then it is not available. You should use the Internet Browser instead. Prime video comes with the TV by default.

The Amazon prime video app, its not there, had it on my last Sony Android tv but missing on here

Look for it in the Google Play Store or reset the TV to the factory settings.

Hi @Adwozere1 Remember it is called “Prime video”, they have dropped the “Amazon”. It should be installed by default however open the Google Play Store and search for Prime. I just tried it and it is there.

Home -> Settings-> Apps -> Prime Video (a long way down the list in the “P”s) just to check If it is already installed.

Thanks Marino.Manolo after doing a Full reset the App was showing all ready installed

The Tv was a Sony refurbished tv from rhe Sony centre, so something had happened before i got tv.
