Updated XE9305 to Oreo via USB - now cannot control volume at all

I updated my 55XE9305 (European model) to Oreo via USB last night (from the sony uk site). All seems to be working well apart from the volume. I can hear the audio using inbuilt speakers but I cannot adjust it at all. Turning the volume up and down on the remote - the volume number increases/decreases but actual volume stays the same. I've also factory reset and same issue.

That's intriguing, can you tell us if this is tied to a certain input/broadcast or it happens on all content regardless of their source?

Got the exact same issue with KD-49XD8077, updated to Oreo from USB. Update looked all good.

I tried to change volume, display graphics show volume increasing/decreasing but actual sound volume from TV speakers does not change.

Tried factory reset few times but always this same issue.

It's just a test, try keeping the TV unplugged for at least 10 minutes.

Tried unplugging the TV for a while, didn't make any difference.

Is there any way to revert to previous OS? If not, anyone know when the next update will be out?

No, there is no way to go back to the previous SO. For the update I heard of April but there is nothing for sure.
