KD-49X8005C ARC firmware update

I'm not sure if others have had issues, but ever since I moved to having a soundbar (Harman Kardon Enchant 1300 that I snagged at a massive discount thanks to refurb deals) attached to my KD-49X8005C it often does not work once I power the TV on from standby. Having searched the net it seems this was a known issue and looks like its been fixed for UK domestic market versions of this same TV: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/articles/00223423

It'd be great if these fixes were ported over for the KD-49X8005C, which is stuck on v 5.435, vs the UK market with firmware 6.6555. Feels like maybe Sony have given up on this variant of the TV.

You are referring to an old Oreo problem that wasn't available for your tv, so your issue could be different.
