I have a KDL32WE613, have been having some problems with it. It already has had a new main circuit board fitted after less than 4 months use. Have been unable to access the BBC red button service. It was suggested I update to the latest firmware. Want to use the usb method. On the download site the latest firmware no. is V8.585 but says update V8.235 must be installed first or it will mess the tv up It also says if version no. is either V8.233 or V8.235 please update to directly to V8.585. My version is V8.542 which is not mentioned. Can I just install the V8.585 regardless?

Since your version is newer than 8.235 you can install the latest version directly.
