Hello everyone. My 5 year old Sony Bravia, Just has a black stripe in the middle of the screen! So annoying! Thought a Sony TV would last a lifetime! So disappointed! My parents have old LED Samsung 10 years old working perfectly! Shame on you Sony! The photo uploaded the wrong way but you can clearly see the black mark!

You should make a call to the technical support to verify the actual problem and if it can be repaired or not. And the cost if you don't have an extended warranty.

Thanks but I don’t have extended warranty. And a repair will prob cost more than a brand new TV.

I'm sorry but you are right. It is better to look for a brand new tv than trying to repair it.
