KD 49xe8396 Usb hdd recording problems

Hi all

New to this site and in hope of finding some answers, my Bravia TV will register some external hdd that I use but will not recognise one other.

Now when I register them and run a check on them they come back as good and working, however when I try to timer record a program I get the error msge reading USB recording device requires registration with the TV, please select [HDD REGISTRATION] recording device setup menu RegisteR USB device now, even though this has already been done. Am now about to tear my hair out so help please.

Sorry but I cannot understand what you are trying to do..

Is the functionality working when you use at least one of the HDD? Why do you need more than one?
