HbbTV - Screen saver goes automatically turn on during watching.

Hello everyone,

I found out issue about TV Sony A8H.

Issue description:

I wanted to watch some movie from Hybrid Broadcast Broadband TV (HbbTV).

For two TV channels works HbbTV correctly, but for one is not working, because after 1 minute watching TV automatically start screen saver. Is it possible to listen sound from movie, but screen is switch off.

When I pushing some command on remote device screen saver is not activate, but honestly I don't wanna to push it every one minute again...:)

Do you have some idea have to fix it?

Hi Petr,

Are you using an OLED TV?

In this case it's a known issue that should be fixed with the next firmware release.

Meanwhile please use the corresponding app from the google play store.

Yes, I'm using oled TV.

Anyway, it is a little out of my mind why for two channels HbbTV works correctly, and for another not.

Is it true that all work using internet connection for delivery movie on demand from their servers, am I right?

You are right, that is possible choose another app from the android market, but I would like understand this.

I have the same issue for KD-48A9, that is also an Android based OLED TV. Do you know if that firmware release will also be available there? And any information about its ETA?
