Manually update XF9005 Firmware - TV not detecting software update

Hi,

I've downloaded the new 6.7140 firmware for the XF9005 TV.

Extracted the PKG file into the root of an 8GB USB stick.

On inserting the stick into the TV it detects external storage and gives me the option to open it in Album, Open Video Files or format it as extended storage.

I've completely powered down and switched TV back on - same thing. At no point is it detecting this stick has a software update on.

Am I missing something?

Hi,

Do you have other USB devices attached to your TV?
If so, remove them please and try again with the update stick.

hi @StoufferTheCat My KD-55XE9305 appears to only like NTFS. It wouldn't update with exFat which opened up Album etc. NTFS started the update immediately (doing it now).

Update completed, zero problems
