How to remove Info banner on 43" XG8396?

Getting the annoying Info Banner at random intervals on my 43" XG8396 when watching any content through my Xbox One X. I came across the following fix:

Press the [HOME] button on the remote control
Scroll down to 'Settings' and press [OK]
Select 'Channel Setup' and press [OK]
Scroll down to 'Info banner' and press [OK]
Select 'Off' and press [OK[
Then return out of everything.

But i don't see the same settings as above on my XG8396 running the latest Android OS. Any suggestions?

I think for you it's under Settings - Watching TV - Info Banner.

Did you ever get an answer on this? I have the same issues and the "Info Banner" option in the menu is missing for me too (Android 9 Pie). I have a call logged with Sony Technical Support.

No, still not resolved. Not had a chance to call Sony Technical Support yet but will do later. I suspect its down to a firmware bug but will see what Sony support say later on.

I think the option to remove the info banner was removed at some point.

The strange thing it’s there in the menu for a split second when I open the “Watching TV” menu but is hidden/removed very quickly. I’ve recorded it slow motion on my phone and you can clearly see it’s actively being hidden for some reason.
