2015 Android TV Running Apps

why are there so many running apps on my Tv (65X9005C). There must be 150 odd sounding apps. Surely if they are required just to run the Tv I shouldn't need to know about them? It makes searching for a real app (Netflix for example) a real chore if I have to scroll and scroll through a list of irrelevant apps.

They are not apps not apps I've downloaded.

Hi there

This is normal operation - even on Android phones and tablets. Many running services are effectively an application - similar to windows.

However, in the apps part of settings, it is separated into 3 sections - Downloaded apps, System apps and Running apps. You dont have to scroll down for the other two sections if you only want to look at your downloaded apps

Thanks for that. Shame the TV doesn't have an option to hide system and running apps. Kind of irrelevant to see hundreds of files I have no idea about.
