Xperia L1 not connecting to PC

Hi Guys

Can anyone please assist, I have recently bought an Xperia L1 but I can't connect it on the Laptop or PC to access files and make transfer. I have installed the Sony companion suite but each I connect the phone immediately shows an error : " android.process.media has stopped" then it says close, this happens before I even select the transfer option to transfer files.

When I close the error window I then select transfer files option, then it's gonna show as if it's installing drivers then eventually it says "MTP drivers not successful installed"

Kindly assist good people.

I have a similar problem, I'm starting to think these version of Sony mobile phones came with factory faults 😖

I ended up flashing my phone with a stock rom I downloaded from xperifirm, after flashing it worked when I connect to PC.

You need to download the following...

1. Flashtool

2. Sony companion suite

3. Xperia L1 Stock rom from xperifirm.com

Then you can flash it afterwards

So that means you must you pc to flash?
