Unlock pattern suddenly doesnt work on Sony Xperia L1

Hello,

as of today, my smartphone suddenly doesnt accept unlocking pattern and I can not get into my phone. I realy did not change anything before, it just does not work. I tried everything I could find on google. Nothing works. Realy spent several hours trying to unlock it.

I tried:

Reading countless forum threads
Turning off/on
Log-in into google device manager, but I can only see its location, ring the phone for 5 minutes, erase all data and lock the phone, even tho all the tutorials showed that google had unlock password/pattern option there before (most of the questions and tutorials were several years old)
Install Android Studio and use it in command prompt, but my phone did not have usb debugging turned on before
Tried several programs for unlocking it - dr.fone etc, but they all look exactly the same and sketchy and does not support Xperia L1 anyway
And lastly, just putting the pattern wrong 5 times nad more. In fact, I did it wrong 100 times. But it shows me no option for "forgoten password/pattern". This YouTube video (not mine) shows it exactly, I can just put the pattern infinitely and it will not lock for putting it wrong 5 times. This is realy shame since I HAVE FULL ACCES TO MY GOOGLE ACCOUNT and it is connected to Wi-Fi, why it can not show "forgotten pattern" and just let me log-in with my google account? I am already logged-in on that phone, I can install google play apps from website, so I can control it like that, I just do not have storage space right now. Apparently it only works on 4.4 Androids and lower? But I have different brand phone and it shows me "forgotten password?" after 5 failed attempts, so what happened?

I realy do not want to hard reset the phone, I tried and it even does not realy work. I want my contacts, picturres and some documents. Why am I not allowed to unlock phone from website? It seems like it was a thing but several years ago. I need at least to get all data from that phone, but how when it is locked?

Please, I will appreciate any help.

Hi @Odblokator, welcome to our forum!

The Google Device Manager used to be able to reset screen locks in the past, but only PIN codes. This stopped working around 2 years ago and you can nowadays only locate the device, call it and erase it.

We used to have a service called MyXperia that could remove all screen locks but that service was discontinued in late 2017.

We do not have any kind of tools to remove a screen lock without resetting the device. For your Xperia L1 with our tools, the only solution is to perform a software repair using Xperia Companion and this will delete all data stored on the device.

If you have used your Google account for contacts, calendar, photos and so forth, login with your Google account on the links below and see if you can find any information.

keep.google.com

photos.google.com

I hope that explains why the services are no longer working at least.

Well, that is realy unfortunate, but it is my fault that I did not have backup. I guess I could try some data recovery places but since it is locked anyway, I guess I am done.

Hi again @Odblokator, you're very welcome.

I'm not very familiar with recovering data from smart phones, but there are most likely companies that work with this, but I remember how expensive it was back in the days to recover data from a hard drive.

Hopefully you are able to recover the data!
