xperia x10 photo quality issues

Hi and welcome,

I have an X10 for quite a while and recently i have copied my photos to a PC and im terrified. the quality is much worse than on any other pgone i ever had. I thought touch hd was doing horrible ones but the ones from x10 have no focus, no sharpness. i bought this phone as it suppose to have a decent camera but now i have to use my old n95 as the photo quality is superb! what can I do? do you think its the problem with a phone itself as looking at sample photos they look amazing.

Just mix and match with the settings on the phone to obtain the best picture.

tried every possible setting, no visible improvements. even the auto mode is rubbish.

Have you tried updating your firmware with Sony Ericsson Update Service?

yes, it says no updates are avalible for my phone. Im on R1FA014

You should try debranding and updating your phone to latest firmware although you might lose some orange features and this will void your warranty.

I was considering it but unless I have a 100% clarity that this will sort out my photo quality issues im not willing to do it. And there is not a single tread anywhere saying this is a fix i require. I suspect issues with the phone itself but have no way of confirmimg it.

Unless you have a service center near by where you could stop by and just get them to confirm the camera is in full working order.
