Dear Sony,

I have read other discussions for this subject but didn't found answer for my problem so created new thread

I have problem with my xperia z camera since 28-July-13 I just used it in while raining and after few hours same I am feeling this problem.

while clicking photos I found black spots as similar in other threads but here as I zoom camera to click a photo spots also in motion with zoom shutter on my X-Z. If I click a zoomed picture than less spots have in picture as compare to picture clicked without zooming. Please help me

I have attached below photos with normal and zoomed clicks.

I need to know if it could be solved at sony centre in less charges that I can avail. My X-Z is in warranty.

i also got same problem as well but i only got 2 dots well 1 is visible on plain camera mode and 2 is visible on video camera mode when you slowly move mobile the 2nd dot appears further up so i have sent mine into repair luckely my subcription with phone company i'm with has got a 24 months guarantee on my phone so they are gona do repair free of charge if it is not fix able they will exchange mine to a new xperia z so i got 1-2 weeks from now on so i hopefully they will have it fixed within 1 week

Plz tell me after u receive the new or repaired phone.

Customer care is replying me that I have to pay 20000 and phone will get replaced:-(

Also earphone cover having problem as it does not completely closed due its rubber fixed for safety is loosed now

I dont know what resolution I will get as day by day I m feeling increasing spots in camera picture

I planned to go service center at Dehradun as suggested by customer care.

If it will be too costly then I dont think that this phone is a waste also my money just drowned.:-(

thats why dont go to sony service center go to your phone company if yours came with a subcription SIM card and let them send it into repair, but ask them first if it costs anything if they say no then it's because yours is with guarantee

Hi Jake,

Actually I m a working guy and posted at very interior location and sony center is 140 KM far from my place and also I dont have off day other than sunday. Thats why I m unable to submit it to sony service center immediately.

I just want to ask u if the same problem as I have, will be charged for get repaired. I care my phone a lot and this issue also is by itself.

if the dots appeared by it self and that you havent done any damages to it or so then check with your phone company service by visiting them where you got your phone from if you now got it with a subscription SIM card plan if so go to them and show them the problem you got and ask them how much it would cost to repair it if they say it wont cost anything then they are offering a vaild guarantee idk how long they offer but mine offers 24 months which is whole subscription i got on SIM card which also included a xperia z

OK i was not having this issue but when i updated my dump phone to 4.2.2 i face this issue what can i do to solve this issue yet there is still WIFI range issue not been solved yet.

Sony what is the fucking wrong with you why you keep not answering us we are buying your phones with money you know, you are not giving it for us free.

it's a shame from company at your size.

i have 6 dots in my monitor the company said we will fix all what they do is reset and then they said we will change the phone for the second times.

by they way the elastic covering the charger slot was damage it will cost me around 60 $ WHY.

Mee too updated to latest andriod version after few days spot in my camera is showing. I puchased online with vodafone 3G offer jake dear.

See as above todays pic spots are increased till today.

Dont know what will happen

I am unable to invest more money at all to repair it as Ido not have too much budget. I must purchase a laptop instead of this mobile. I justified with it ls waterproof function but that also have a big question mark on this feature.

Sony must understand my problem and get it repaired for free. Customer care person told me it will get replaced because it cant be repaired. I have to pay 20K for another new same phone. I am shocked since that day why I choosed this phone I must wait for more few months so that I can read more reviews

Not I only have hope on Sony for my Sony Xperia Z.

go to your vodafone phone company and show them this problem they should offer a guarantee on their phones but idk how long since mine came with 24 months same lenght as my subscription i got with phone company i'm with so they just sent mine to repair under guarantee request to workstation on 2013-08-09 for repair and today repair was finally completed and that workstation has sent it back to phone company store near by so by tomorrow i will have mine back again include that my repair was not charged at all But what idid see to their job logs is that it says they replaced camera in my mobile towards a new one so this problem is repair able

Dear Sony,

I would like to say for phone's headphone cap, under
which category it is being counted. It was really unreliable and not
fixed proper due to it got loosen so soon with in 3 months i purchased
also it was not used by me frequently while other one means Mirco USB
cover was used twice a daily but I feel no issue with it also service
centre checked that was fine.

I dont want to bear any of your extra cost for my handset I am very
specific to this but I want to express that here I am really not
faulty that's why I need your kind assistance.

Please clear me to this point as I am not expecting it to be loosen so
soon. It must be extra qualitative in manner as whole responsibility
of water resistance depend on these 2 covers (i.e. headphone cover &
micro usb cover).

It will be a great service for assistance while understanding my issue.

I'm totally new here, just googled this matter and ended up here signing up to the forum....

I did notice the exact same thing going on with my phone with the spots... and it's quite alot of spots...

I'm from Saudi Arabia, Riyadh. The handset was with me for almost 6 months so far, and the warranty is covered for 1 year, but i didn't buy it with a sim subscription... after reading here, I'm considering taking it to the service center to see what would they say about this... hope they wouldn't charge me extra that what I paid, as this set I really do like it better than all my ex-phones...

I would come again and provide with my feedback of the service center here and their reply... also I would really appreciate it if anyone could give me a hint to dodge their excuses so not to escape the repair thing of my set... i really didn't damage it or anything.. just looked closely and found out about it...

submitted my device to the local service center here in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on 20-Oct-2013, after I told the reception guy that my problem is spots on the camera while taking pics & vids, he told me it's a known error in the camera without even the need to check the device, he just took it from me and handed me a receipt and told me they would REPLACE THE CAMERA :smileyshocked:!!! and it would take about a week till they could acknowledge if it's fixed by then or not as they will wait for the parts to arrive!!! that's his acknowedgment and will keep following up to see further update from them and update teh same.

Hi, My phone camera is not working fine. All the pics clicked from it,has spots in it. I went to the service centre and they said i will have to pay 17000 and they will replace it with a new phone. I spent so much on this phone and now has no capacity to spend anymore. Please advise

I am also having the same problem.

My mobile phone is Sony Xperia ZL (C6502) and device warranty period is over

Service Center said there is no solution for this problem you have to replace your device. Though this devices are no longer available in market thay said me that you have to select other device other then Sony Xperia Z or ZL and pay 80% amount of this phone.

Can anyone said me that you find any solution or not ?

Please please reply me ASAP.
