Xperia SP usb charging and touch problem

Xperia SP(C5302) touch not responding while USB charging especially with Vaio systems(when the system is also on charging mode) and occasionally touch lags when charging normally.Any suggestions..please help??its getting quite cumbersome..

tried enabling and disabling the glove mode and everything..but the Vaio system problem is persistent and the normal wall charging touch problem creeps in occasionally...

using the firmware 12.0.A.1.211.

please help..

Hi cosmicrajeev,

Are You Using Proper Data Cables (Provided By Sony Along with Your Handset) or Other Data cables..???

You may have the problem If you use some Local Charger/Data Cable for charging, Since it has not exactly suits your Phone Battery Voltages.

You'll not able to Use your phone while connected.

So, Pls Use Original Cables for Charging. It's Always Good for Your Battery and Phone's Life.

i do use the original sony charger and data cables too (EP800) wall charger that it came with..

but the main problem is when i connect my SP to my VAIO laptop,and when the laptop is also on charging mode..the touch of the phone just wont respond..its very irritating.

I even went to the sony service centre,had a DOA filed and got a new set altogether but the new set also has the same problem.It works fine with other laptops and systems viz. Dell,HP,HCL,Lenovo..the only problem is with VAIO systems..i wonder whats wrong..

please help...

i also face the same problem with my hp laptop,when the charger is on and i connect the phone via usb it beaves strangely.

so i removed the charger and then it worked perfect.

if you are facing the touch screen issues without charger plugged in or during normal use then it would be better to get your phone replaced i was facing the touch problem and my retailer replced the phone for a new one.

u're right..the problem doesn't persist when the charger is removed..and i did get my phone replaced once cuz of the same problem..but the main problem is that the replaced one also suffers from the same problem..that's my main concern as to why is this happening??is there some problem in the SP range itself??cuz the other sets don't have this problem..i tried this on Xperia Z,Xperia U,Sola and Live with walkman(of friends ofcourse)..

earlier unit on which i suffered the problem was april manufactured and the replaced unit was may manufactured.i think in may unit the problem is not there as i have not faced any touch issues on my phone.

in which month was your phone manufactured??

also try updating the software it may help.

Same prblm here.Touch completely stops responding when I connect the phn to computer via usb(original).Also gave the .284 update but nothing much has improved.But now the happy thing is for me that the touch issue during charing via the wall charger (original) is gone after giving the update.

What changes did u obtain in the.284 update? Which country you are in definately not India and what is your Model Number? What improvements did you obtain? Is wifi issue sorted?

Do you have a screen guard on?

Try using without a screen guard. I had the problem when I was using a screen guard. Got frustrated and removed it. Now the touch is silky smooth again!

better i would suggest u to replac your phone with a new phone,and on the new phone better do not connect it to pc and charger other than the original provided and also be cautious while connecting it to pc.

i also faced the problem and got my phone replaced.

I bought xperia sp 2 weeks ago. I am facing problem of touch when i.keep my phone on any flat surface. Also some times when.i.press power button to.unlock the screen does not come up. Does sony doing anything to fix these 2 issues in next updates.

I hope Sony will fix this. When you unlock the phone and it not start, is annoying. WiFi range have to be fixed to.

Guys problem might be rrm the screen protector. I just removed to make sure of that and it worked. .screen is scratch resistant so dont have to bother about geting scratches.

Try lower powerded output voltage charger.

I was having same problem.

The original sony charger is giving 850mA output power.

But when i have tried samsung charger with output power 700mA, touch is working fine.

On the other hand some PCs may give higher output power than the mobile needed.

So touch will not work.

Some smart phone having this charging problem.

I have seen the problem in some of the htc, micromax, and my phone Xperia SP.

Same touch unresponsive problem here. It doesn't matter if I'm using the charger that came with the phone or a different one. Updated the phone and it makes no difference.

I am also facing similar issue. when i keep my handset for charging, screen stop responsing.

i use charger provided along with headset.

i have done factory reset and its updated with latest firmware. but still its issue.

please help.
