Stating the obvious - Flaps closed correctly and use the dedicated camera button

Also, if water start interacting with your touchscreen, enable the Touch Lock,

Camera > Settings > Top Right Tab > scroll down to "Touch Block"

To disable it simply slide to unlock.

This way you can take pictures with the shutter button and the water will not mess up with the screen

Aside from what they have already said...make sure that you snap pics with your Xperia in fresh water only.

When I use mine in a pool I just rinse it off afterwards.
