Default Dialer Problem

Hi!
Does your phone always ask for the dialer to use everytime you click on the phone icon when in messaging. It always ask me if what to use, viber or dialer even if chose always. Please Sony fix this on your next update.

Try to clear defaults once for the phone app or reset app preferences. Set a default again. If still having problems,you have an app acting up.

Done what you said but the phone doesnt seem to remember which app to launch. Viber or dialer. Even try restoring to factory defaults

So this occurs from the default messages application? I checked on Z1 and it takes me directly to dialer.

After reformatting I install viber. Then it always ask what app to use when clicking the phone icon on messaging

I do not have viber,maybe that is why for me it doesn't occur. So if you try to set dialer as always,how is it?

Sorry to hear that you have issues selecting default dialer.

This issue will be fixed in the update to Android 5.

Any approx time line like first week of march would do. Like last week or even the month name would be fine but please tell us something.

Android 5 will first be rolled out for Z2 and Z3 series and then for the remaining devices in the Z series. I'm afraid i don't have any information about which week/month it will be released for Z1 Compact but i recommend that you keep checking http://blogs.sonymobile.com/ for the latest news.

I also have this problem when there are more then two dialers installed. No matter what I cant select default dialer.
