Xperia E1 won't daily out

I just bought both of my parents new phones the Sony Xperia E1 and they both won't call out. When the touch a contact name or dial a new number they have to try up to 8 times for the call the number. Is there a patch or bug fix out for this yet? Does anyone have this problem and know how to fix it?

Go to settings > about phone > which build number do you have?

Does your phone has a protective case and/or film?

The one phone has build number 20.1.A.2.14 and no there is no film or screen protector.
