sms Settings faillure

Hi to everyone

I bought an xperia z3 compact 2 weeks before and when I tried to go to the sms settings the application closed with a message appears " the message application closed".I tried this several times without any change.I did a restoration to the factory settings and It worked for 3 days,yesterday I tried the sms settings again with the same results.Does anyone knows about this????

Firstly i would try running your phone in Safe Mode for a bit.......this will see if there are any 3rd Party Apps that just might be interferring with your phone......there are a few other things to try but see how it goes with this first

Thank you for your answer dandy63.I tried the safe mode run and actually it worked for 1-2 times but then the same message again.I also tried from the settings-apllications-all-messages-clear data but with no result again!

If you have also tried the Clear Cache my next step would be to try a PC Companion Repair.........if you do do this you MUST back up your phone, i will add the links below......wait for a bit to see if anyone else comes up with any ideas first :smileysmileywink:

The problem finally solved with the PC companion-phone repair! The funny is that i went to the official service for Sony in Greece (ARVATO) an they asked me 30e for a new update because the phone was from Ireland and as they said that was the problem,of course I denied and I tried the PC companion and that was all!:smileyangry:
