Replacement charger flap on phone

I have been getting frustrated lately with the fact that the charging port protection flap didn't seem to be fitting as well as before. Then today I got on the train and got my phone from my pocket and realised the flap was gone!! Is there anywhere where I can get a cheap replacement?? The prices on ebay for a little bit of plastic are extortionate!!

I know Amazon do them but probably the same sort of price as eBay......do a SEARCH on the Forum as i'm sure there has been plenty of people who have had to buy replacements :smileysmileywink:

You are looking at about £6.99 for a full set but they are easy to fit - You may find generic cheaper variants elsewhere

I'm amazed that mine hasn't broken off before now actually, very poor design in my opinion.

Does anyone know if the Z2, Z3 have the same cover system?

And does the replacement part look/feel the same? I imagine the IP58 certificate becomes invalid as soon as you start using after market parts doesn't it

It might be bad design, but the first thing I did was buy a magnetic charger cable.

You can also opt for the charger cradle, so you won't have to fiddle with the flap.

Most magnetic cables are quite weak and I can really recommend the magnetic cable from Magnector.

Are the parts on ebay official Sony replacement covers that adhere to the water resistant standards? If not, where could I find the Sony parts?

They look official enough but not sure they are.

You normally find with most company's that they make more than needed then sell these on to other people for resale

Thanks for all the replies. Luckily I somehow found it again!!! So I have re-attached to my phone. Still seems pretty flimsy though. Bad design.
