Headphone volume problem

Hello,

I'm having a problem with headphone volume level.

When I plug the headphones I put the volume on the half way and it sounds great.. but after some time volume decreases and when I increase it to 100% it's not even half as loud as 50%

It started recently, before that it was all normal

Can you help me solve this?

I'm thinking you were notified of loud volume and the damage it could cause to hearing and you accepted the changes meaning your device will detect the loudness and decrease the volume accordingly for your own protection

I think you need to open Settings then Apps and swipe to all then locate and open Smart connect then tap on Clear data and clear cache then reboot and test or you need to open Settings then tap the 3 dots then tap Reset app preferences but I can't be sure @alexdon may know better

Thanks Thommo but you can't say I know better. Clearing data for smart connect might fix this,keep us updated.

Either smart connect or walkman.

I tried cleaning user data for both Walkman and Smart connect, I've also tried with those three squares And it doesn't work
Sound is normal for an half an hour and then it gets so low even at 100%

So do you see any improvement in safe mode? If yes,keep it like that for some time.

Actually it's the same.
It gets better ( like before) only when the headphones are unpluged for a while. Then 30 minutes (or less) it works great and then the volume decreases 😕

You may need to perform a software repair using PC Companion.The process will erase all internal memory.You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 60% battery.

Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).

Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you might need to run it in compatibility mode with Windows 7 (in some cases XP).
