Any idea on a new Sony Xperia 5 release date?

TL;DR - does anybody know when the next Xperia 5 is due out or is it 2nd hand-only now?

Anything to watch out for when going to the last Xperia 5's (iv / v) or would I be better off with the Xperia 10 (vii?)?

Full story:

About 18 months ago, I "upgraded" from my Xperia 5 iii to the Xperia 1 (v?).

It's faster and has much better battery life, despite the bigger screen, but I really miss the sleek shape of the Xperia 5! That phone was the perfect size: it would just fit everywhere so much more conveniently! (in my pocket, car dashboard and hand; for one-handed typing)

I'd drop the Xperia 1 in a drawer and go back to the Xperia 5 tomorrow if I could, but I gave my old phone to my daughter, who is absolutely loving it.

My son needs a new phone, so I've got an opportunity to get back to a sensible sized phone. I think he's going to get my Xperia 1... so now I need to see what the options are for me, but it seems like I have to choose either a 2nd hand Xperia 5 or a new Xperia 10, but I would LOVE it if there was an Xperia 5 (vii?) due out soon!

I'll miss the wireless charging and I know there's a step down on a few other features, but I'll take that for the extra pocket space and usability, plus I've got a 1Tb SDXC (SandDisk Extreme) that I've been using since my Z5C days, so I think I'll be fine on storage
