Xperia Z2 (sgp512) wont update to 6.0.1

Hi, hope you can help!

i have 2 tablets that wont update to 6.0.1, despite them being only 5.0.2

when i connect it to companion, it says "software update not supported". i have a 6.0.1 restore on my pc from a third updated tablet but i cant transfer that either. If i try with wifi i get the message that it is already up to date! and a link to a page that is no longer available

Check your firewall settings on the computer and make sure that all extensions of the app are allowed access to the internet.

Hi, thanks for the reply, i have 2 other z2 that have updated no problems today and 1 that would take the restore backup so not sure thats the problem. could it be hardware? old processor not able to accept the new software?

If the update was released for the model, then the hardware must be able to support the new software, it may simply not be released for the specific build of the other non updated 2 devices, as the updates are released for every bunch of builds at a time.

I think no need to take the risk to jailbreak and install a custom ROM that may not be optimal for the device just yet, you can give it some more time.
