Updating ZR to 4.2.2 using Bridge for MAC 3.4

Hello,

I'm a owner of a new ZR C5503 bought online. Currently the phone is at 4.1.2 & I want to upgrade to 4.2.2 via the Sony Bridge for MAC ver 3.4 (3404). I connect my unlocked ZR to my MAC OS X v10.6.8 & started up Sony Bridge for MAC & the phone was detected.

I found some instructions online & it says after the successful connection/detection of the ZR:

'New Firmware Upgrade should be available at the home of Sony Companion/Sony Bridge. Press the Firmware Upgrade button to proceed'.

Where is the 'home of Sony Companion/Sony Bridge' ? Appreciate any advice.

Hi uliwooly,

Because I bought this ZR via online from HK as the ZR is not announced in Singapore, I don't anticipate to get the 4.2.2 update OTA (Over The Air) via a notification on my ZR.

I want to update to 4.2.2 via the Sony Bridge for MAC which I have installed in my MAC. But it is acting funny even though it has detected my ZR upon connection. I expected to see the 4.2.2 update on the Bridge for MAC screen, but it is not there. Any ideas?

you will have to wait until the update its approved and released in Singapore before you can get it.
