Older iOS version of Sound Connect app?

Hey All.

I just bought a pair of Sony RF-C500 wireless earbuds. And I'm happy with them. But I can't download the app to my iPhone. I'm running iOS 15.8.3 on an older model and I can't instal a later iOS. And iOS 16 seem to be the minimum requirement. Probably because Apple want me to buy a new phone. 🙄

Can I download a previous version of Sony's Sound Connect app? Alternatively, is there a Mac version for my laptop?

Any help, advice or workaround would be gratefully received.

@Pablito101 I believe you mean the WF-C500 model, I don't think you can download a previous version of the Sony sound connect app but according to the Sony website: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/wireless-headphones-bluetooth-headphones/wf-c500/software/00269130 the app is compatible with iPhones in general and Android smartphones. I'd say double check from the Apple Store if it cannot be downloaded for not having enough storage.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I DO mean the WF-C500 model.

Sadly though, it's not a storage issue. The app is only available for iOS16 and above. Apple are making me obsolete so I have to buy a new phone. Which makes me dig my heels in.

When I have time, I'll download the app onto someone else's phone, fiddle with the functions and the EQ for a bit, and then delete the app.
