I have just been given a great Sony TA-940R amplifier. I am running JBL XTi 20 speakers through thick copper cables and gold-plated Gale plugs with four wires into the four sockets on each JBL and two wires into each side of the A speaker output on the amplifier (wires bunched together on each channel at the amp end of the cable, as the impedance would be wrong otherwise - can't use the full bi-wire system as the JBLs are 6 ohms and the Sony book says it needs 8-16 ohms on bi-wire).</P><P style=";"><BR /></P><P style=";">My question is: which input should I plug my ipod/iphone into please? I have it in the phono (record player according to the Sony manual) input and this gives enormous gain and volume but is very bass-heavy.
