Will there be a firmware update to remove the restriction on standby auto on over wired lan now that we've left the EU?

"To comply with the power saving regulation in Europe, products with the serial number 2200001 or later cannot use this function when the product is connected to the wired network or not connected to the wireless network" Its a great speaker and I use it multi room via built in chromecast (or airplay) and its always been irritating that I have to turn the sony on manually, unlike all the other devices.

I know it's an old speaker but must be an easy change to remove the serial number check

Alternatively does anyone use over WiFi in a multi room setup and if so is it reliable? All other devices are wired

I've passed your feedback to Sony support hopefully your request can be accommodated. I don't use a multi-room setup so I can't help in that aspect. Maybe someone else can share his/her experience.
