Hi there, Hope this is the correct forum?

Thought I would feedback here in the hope that Sony get to see this message. Not sure if its already been suggested, but one area of frustration when changing lenses is that the indexing dot on the camera body (and mine is an A7iv) is on the face of the mounting flange. So you cant see it exactly until the old lens has been removed, often requiring the need to orientate the body upwards so you can see it - its a bit fiddly and increases the risk of dust. So an improvement would be to replicate the dot on the exterior ring of the lens mount (the copper coloured ring). This simple feature would be very helpful when changing lenses. Even if it were simply printed as a L (locked) and U (unlocked) with a line it would help. - Just a thought...

Probably mr. Sony will not hear you, most likely it doesn’t exist as a person

I find your suggestion a little bit strange. I had seen the mark on the front face of bayonet in almost all the mirrorless cameras.

I’d seen external mark just in low level cameras to help base level users.

I find natural to look at the mark position on the lens before to unlock it, and then it’s easy to replace the new one in the same position.

probably it should be a little hard to fit an external mark on the small body of Sony’s cameras
