3 VAIOs - 3 different issues

Having a lot of issues with VAIO at the minute which seems to be caused by the latest VAIO updates:

VAIO DUO - sees three VAIO updates but each quits halfway through the download.

VAIO L - an update to VAIO Care means that it doesn't see the recovery partition anymore so I can't make recovery disks

VAIO E - VAIO update needs an update before it can update but it doesn't download.

Am I just the unluckiest VAIO customer in the world or is this a trend? I have another machine that I have yet to check but I'm guessing it will have an issue too.

For Vaio E (VAIO update needs an update before it can update but it doesn't download).

For VAIO DUO (sees three VAIO updates but each quits halfway through the download) try this.

Take a note on which are the updates that won’t be installed.

Go on http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en , enter your model number and make a direct “manual” download of files. Probably are zip files. If so, extract them and install updates.

Thanks Jannis, I had tried that but one of the updates doesn't appear to be on the website (NFC Connection Utility) and one of the others goes in a constant loop of updates (Graphics Driver update to Graphics Profile Update back to Graphics Driver Update and so on)

The Duo now has the same Vaio Update issue so I'll hold off for now.

I don’t know anything about your Graphic Driver update issue, but with NFC Connection Utility, even You are not alone!

More users, even in Italy, have same issue! No auto-update, no file corresponding, present on Sony’s Support site, to download and install!
