Hi, I have an old vaio from 2013 and I think it’s finally given up on me. Let night it just started flickering with this screen in the photo and now it powers on but the screen is blank. These red squares come up for around 10 seconds twice in the first minute then nothing. The lights and fan are still on. Any idea is it’s a part to replace or there no hope?

Have you tried connecting an external monitor to check if it is the Vaio or just the screen itself?
