Application Error when installing SonicStage

Hi there,

In the process of installing the SonicStage, the following error message appeared :

Ikernel.exe - Application Error

The instruction at "0x771c741a" referenced memory at "0x001639a8".
The memory could not be "read"

I have no idea what this message means .
Would really appreciate if someone could shed some light on this error message.

Ah, Kee-Lo, a matter of semantics! I suppose I meant re-creating the thread under the Sony Software heading.

The error message refers to the Installshield engine. You could try making sure that any previous versions of Sonicstage are uninstalled and that the Sonicstage folder on your drive is deleted before attempting to reinstall. Make sure your system is virus free and that your virus scanner is not running while you install.

Other than that there is probably little you can do other than check for any update on www.vaio-link.com and/or contacting Sony.
