Connecting apple laptop to Sony STRDH790

I am trying to connect an Apple laptop to my projector via my A/V amplifier using a Thunderbolt to HDMI converter. I get picture but no sound. The Laptop is generating audio using its interneal speakers. I have tried three different converters, including Apples recommened Belkin product, but still no sound.

Help?

Hey @johnjenkin, when you have them connected like that, are you accessing the AV receiver menu and choosing the laptop to play content from it as specified here? You can also try to set HDMI audio signal output of connected devices “AUDIO.OUT” here. Also check this here, if no TV sound is output from the receiver.
