I have recently upgraded to the Xperia 10, largely because I was excited by the 21:9 4K video camera capability...
I have been using (on Xperia XZ compact) an app called Kinemaster, happily editing / creating 16:9 HD videos...
I can't seem to find an android app that supports the editing of 21:9 4K video... without the ability to edit (blend / layer clips, pan & zoom, fade & filter, etc) then having the feature on the phone is of no use... can't create anything with the 21:9 4K videos that I record...
Can someone please please please recommend a good quality video editing app for android that supports 21:9 4K?? This is the main reason I have this phone!
I'm having the same issue. I was amazed the 'cinema pro' app didn't have built in video editing. It really should

The problem is the Xperia 10 and Xperia 1 are the first smartphones with the ability to record video in the 21.9 aspect ratio so there's been no need for developers of video editing apps to support this format before now. Even so, unless 21.9 video recording catches on with other, lets say 'popluar' smartphones, then I can't really see it happening for a while.
There is one app I know of that supports 21.9 and that is Lumafusion by Lumatouch but unfortunately it's for iOS only. I have it and have editied and exported footage in 21.9 ratio with video from my Xperia 1. Maybe you could contact them and ask them to consider creating an Android version!
I need 21:9 widescreen support
Well, based on what you want to get in the editor on the phone. If it concerns ordinary, standard actions, then use the standard editor -
it is enough completely. If you want to edit well, take a look at Movavi Clips or to its desktop version, with full functionality - https://www.movavi.com/videoeditor/. In general, it’s convenient, I use this bunch because I bought a license. Perhaps there are alternatives.
