Numbers on Phone icon

I have the phone icon on my home page but it has numbers on it. I assumed that this was an indication for a missed call but when I look there are none. I cannot get rid if these numbers. Does anyone know what this means and how to remove these numbers of the icon

I have the same problem as well. I've tried deleting my call history but it remains the same. There's no way to delete the calls. The only option maybe to reset network but I reluctant to try it!

Hi @Gunners1802 and @Stphn84, let me see if I can help out here.

As stated in the link that @AndrewD71 posted, this is a known behaviour that might occur for certain phone models in certain countries that is using the Google Phone-app. It is under investigation and planned to be fixed in a future update.

I apolgize for the inconvenience in the meantime and I'll keep all of you updated if/when I know more about when this will be fixed.
