Please bear with me if this is a stupid question but I selected to record XAVC-S 4k movies on my new A6500 but it has produced mp4 files on the SD card. Is this correct or is there another compression option available that I have missed? If so where is it on the menu? I have trawled through and found nothing.
I can't view these mp4s as yet as they are massive and therefre very glitchy. I have just installed Adobe CC Prelude and Premiere on my mac book pro in the hope of being able to get the best quality out of these mp4 files. Can anyone recommend workflow procedure in Prelude to unwrap these mp4 files to 4k quality? I must admit i haven't got a clue what I'm doing here - I assumed that there would be some form of XAVC-S file not mp4. Would someone help me out please?
