KD-49xg8096 with LG sl5y soundbar

Please help!

I have Sony kd-49xg8096 tv and I bought LG sl5y soundbar, but i cant connect my soundbar in any way. I tried via hdmi arc, with optical cable and bluetooth but nothing works, no sound at all. Bluetooth doesn't see my soundbar at all, I changed it from the speakers to audio system but still no sound.

Check that the HDMI cable between TV and Soundbar is plugged into the HDMI input on the TV marked ARC.

If not, try it there.

If that is how it is already connected though, with a known-to-be-good HDMI cable, then it’s faulty. Take/send it back and get a working one.
