A month or so ago, I followed the staightforward instructions to disable YouView. Today I tried to turn it back on but I can't seem to find the menu option to enable it. Wondering if the recent software update changed the menus - the online advice is to go to Channel SetUp and there should be YouView SetUp option. But my Channel SetUp options are just 'Auto Tuning', 'Manual Tuning', 'Streaming Channel Setup/Google Play Movies' and 'Advanced settings' - no YouView SetUp. Have I lost this feature permanantly or is the option to enable/disable somewhere else? Thanks.

The path to the Default TV app for Digital on my TV is this,
Settings button on remote> Settings> Channels & Inputs> TV button shortcut>Digital TV press OK.
The next page should be Select your default TV app for Digital.
Select between Live TV & Catchup (YouView) or TV (FreeView).
After making your choice come out of the menus and press the TV button on the remote, this should now change the EPG to your choice.
As you have a different Sony model to mine the path may not be exactly the same but should be similar.

Hi @alhayme10
According to the Sony website, that model is not sold in Europe.
However is all else fails, all you need to do is a full factory reset. You should then have the option to enable YouView (it may now be called Catch Up & Live TV) during the setup process.
Thanks DaveyH - yes that worked - so I guess they just changed the menus around with last update. One thing though, I thought I could jump back to the beginning of a programme but none of the obvious remote control buttons do anything e.g. rewind, pause etc. I did see briefly a message flashed up that said pressing the green button would go to the start of the programme but that button didnt do anything either. Thanks.
Hi Lightfoot, thanks for replying. Odd that Sony says this model is not sold in Europe - its available from John Lewis, Curries and all other main retails - e.g. https://www.johnlewis.com/sony-bravia-kd50x75wl-2023 . It does seem that YouView is rebranded now as Live TV and Catch Up.
If you are watching normal broadcast TV then you cannot pause or rewind the live programme.
If you switch over to a BBC channel you may see the green button dialogue, if you press the green button the TV should switch from live broadcast TV to the BBC iPlayer (over the internet) and start the programme you switched over to.
The media buttons, Play, Pause, fast forward and rewind can be used while watching movies or TV programmes stored on a USB device such as a hard drive or USB stick, also any Bravia synch compatible devices.
It is possible they can be used with some of the streaming catch up services or other media apps you may install.

Hi @alhayme10
You missed off two important characters, the WL. There happens to be a Sony KD-50X75 TV in India (Asia) 😀
