Wall mounting 49XE9005 with Von Haus (tilt) 32-70" universal mount

Hi,

I am looking for a bit of advice, I have just purchased this VESA wall mount.

https://www.vonhaus.com/vh_en/tilt-tv-bracket-33-60

Its probably overkill for a 49" TV but figured if I mount this properly then it could be a bit future proof if the TV size ever gets upgraded.

The Sony kit (SU-WL450) which I almost bought mentions using spacers on the 49XE9005 but when I have initially looked at fixing the Von Haus arms to the TV it appears its flat enough just to mount them directly onto the TV, there appears to be no curvature of the back of the TV (which would imply using spacers either at the top or bottom). The mounting holes on the 49XE9005 are at the very back of the TV so again, not sure why it would need spacers. I plan to use heavy duty velcro tape to stick the PSU block in the recess at the PSU connection point on the TV, again, this would not cause the TV to foul the bracket or wall mount.

Does anyone have experience with these types of mounts and the XE9005 specifically.

Cheers,

Hi @stormyuk

I have a similar wall mount on my bedroom TV. Just ignore everything you have read about spacers and simply attach the vertical arms to the back of the TV with the supplied screws.
