Help me to decide

Hi

Can anyone help me I am looking for a easy to use camera.

I want one that takes pics easy and plays back easy.

I have a "Vivitar vivicam" at the moment and it has that many things on it I cannot get on with it.

I dont want a movie on it I just want to take a photo and then play it back to see its ok.

Would like any shake on it. Or anything that is easy to use.

Thank-you

Chris

Hi Chris and welcome.

It will depend on your budget and any other specific requirements you may have like size, power of the zoom etc.

If you would like to tell us what you are mainly going to use the camera for we will be able to suggest models that fit your needs.

From what you say, an excellent 14MP camera with a superb quality lens, good automatic mode to just point and shoot and with anti-shake for good clear pictures that I would recommend is the DSC-W350. It is stylish and comes in 4 colours.

This should give you excellent quality pictures on automatic settings. However, this costs £170 and does have many features you may not use yet - but may grow  to value later.

If you want something smaller but with all the features like Optical Zoom and Steady-Shot anti-shake, you may have to pay a little more and get something like the DSC-T99 at £209.

There are less expensive models like DSC-320S and DSC-310S, which are both excellent cameras but do not have Steady-Shot anti-shake included.

Please come back if you would like any more information and one of us will be happy to help.

Hi

And thank-you for your reply.

I just want a good camera that is easy to use and not a lot of things on it as I find I get in a muddle

if its to complecated.

Some said a Sony DSCW320B would be ideal.

Have you heard any good reports about this camera.

Thank-you

Kindest regards

Chris

Yes, I'm sure the DSC-W320 will suit you.

It has no Video function and the anti-shake is electronic rather than optical.  It does have Intelligent Auto for good point and shoot pictures.

This is probably a good choice for you.
