Sony just made headphones from recycled water dispensers!

LinkBuds S are the ultra-small and lightweight headphones from Sony, comfortable enough to wear all day long to keep you connected to all your worlds, with natural ambient sound when you want to interact with your surroundings and high-quality noise cancelling when you need to focus.

The truly wireless headphones were initially released in Black, Ecru, and White, but last month, a new colour was introduced to the line-up and it’s making a real splash!

LinkBuds S are now available in Earth Blue

Earth Blue is a beautiful, distinctive marble-patterned colour. As the marble is unique to every pair of headphones, each customer will own a one-of-a-kind variation.

As with the other colours, Earth Blue LinkBuds S come with a matching case.

The headphones are made from water dispensers

Parts of the Earth Blue headphones and their case have been made using recycled resin materials generated from plastic water dispensers.

The material was originally developed by Sony in pursuit of ways to not only expand creatively, but to expand the use of recycled materials from water dispensers and put their adhesive properties to good use.

The entire LinkBuds series also comes with plastic-free packaging and the headphones feature recycled materials from automobile parts – a reflection of our commitment to reduce the environmental impact of products as we work towards a zero environmental footprint.

LinkBuds S help support ocean conservation activities

For every pair of LinkBuds S sold (in all colours), Sony will donate $2 USD to Conservation International (CI)*. CI is an international NGO that has worked across 70 countries since 1987, empowering societies to care for nature and global biodiversity, responsibly and sustainably.

Our donation programme ensures every purchase of LinkBuds S will protect nearly 58,824 square meters of ocean, an area equivalent to about 47 Olympic-sized swimming pools**!
