Problem connecting Sky handset - won’t work the volume or switch off the tv

Hi I am failing to connect the volume / switch on and switch off  my Sony Bravia KD-55X81J to the Sky handset of our Sky puck

Sky doesn’t recognise the Model number and none of their 32 options work with the Sky handset

Any help would be much appreciated please

@Stuart999 They need to be connected by HDMI check this article LINK Are they connected by HDMI cable ?
