Either I am really really stupid, or this is the worst design decision I’ve ever encountered. So I wanted to slow down the rpm speed of my turntable, and after googling, I found out I need to put a screwdriver in a hole on the underside of the turntable and turn it in a direction depending on whether you want to speed it up or slow it down. Sounded easy enough, so I tried. I soon realised there is a piece of rubber that prevents the screwdriver from going all the way in. What the heck?? Why is this here??? Are one not supposed to put something in there??? But why are there holes if you are not supposed to put something in there???? If only professionals are supposed to do it, why use rubber??????????? IF THERE ARE HOLES ON THE UNDERSIDE LABELED WITH NUMBERS "33" AND "45", WHY PUT RUBBER THERE TO MAKE IT DIFFICULT TO ADJUST THE RPM SPEED!?!?!?!?!?????? Is there a purpose to this that I’m too stupid to understand???? Guess what happened. I had to jam the screwdriver through the rubber. And guess what, the turntable is now broken. I tried to be carefull at first, but in order to get the screwdriver in there, I had to use force. WHY. IS. THERE. RUBBER. THERE. Is this so that customers will unintentionally break their turntable so that they would have to buy a new one? In that case, pretty clever scam. Please, I’m open to be flamed for my stupidity. I just need answers. Why is there rubber there? Either this is the most clever design decision, or the worst humanity has been able to produce.
