Dear all,

do you have information or experience what is the DSD output format of the XA5400ES over HDMI? My player outputs DSD at 44.1khz at 16bit. I wonder if the XA5400 ES outputs it as it is? (2.82Mhz at 1bit)

Morning tokait and welcome to the Sony Forum

The XA5400 will output native DSD via HDMi or, depending on the spec of the reciever, change the output using the CEC data from the receiver.  Basically, it will send the the most that the reciever can handle.

For this to work HMDi has to be turned on.

I have an Onkyo PS-SC5507 processor, do you know by chance what is the maximum it can accept? I suppose that my player's output is determined to 44.1 Khz, but hope Onkyo can accept better (hopefully unmodified stream)

Your answer would help as I am considering to purchase this Sony
